Description

Luftwaffe flying troops visor cap to Gefreiter Gottfried Dietz. Consigned by his son and never available on the market before! Please see last picture for two photos of Gottfried Dietz. One photo shows him wearing a summer visor cap which we also offer with this auction. There is also a picture of a photo showing Dietz wearing his pilot's suit and his parachute jumping out of an aircraft. The original photo however remains with this son and is not part of this offer.

-

Rare "HPC Frischluft" marked cap with two ventilation holes to the front side of the black cap band. In all these years, this is the first "Firschluft" Luftwaffe cap we can offer. EREL made Frischluft caps for the Heer are around but still rare.

Originally attached aluminum insignia. Fine silk lining. Removed celluloid diamond. Nicely worn sweat-band. "123" stamped. About 12-13cm of the seam of the sweat-band have opened (see close-up) but the green backed visor still sits absolutely firmly.

Size 56/57

No moth damage. Two holes to the yellow piping where inside metal wire comes through.
