Description

Luftwaffe Honor Goblet to Oberleutnant Siegfried Reuter. Awarded on 19. January 1942. "Joh. Wagner & Sohn" maker marked and "835" silver hallmarked to the bottom. The goblet was found in the ground around 1990 during civil engineering works. 

Oberleutnant Reuter served as a pilot with 1./Wettererkundungsstaffel of the Luftwaffe. He was probably the only Luftwaffe pilot of this are unit to be awarded the Honor Goblet. Furthermore, German Cross in gold winner (4. August 1942). Killed in action on 13. Januar 1943 near Borkum. His JU 88 was shot down by an anti-aircraft gun.
