Original postwar autograph on replica photo.

Major Höfer (1911-1996) served during WWII as a commanding officer with II./Kampfgeschwader 55. He continued his military service with the German Bundeswehr from 15.12.1955 until 30.09.1971. His last military rank was Oberst im Generalstab.
