Description
A high quality 1923 National Society of the Colonial Dames of America membership badge. Made from real gold. No hallmark. Fine enameled center showing a woman. Thirteen rays, each with a blue star at the end.
"BAILEY BANKS & BIDDLE PHILA." maker marked as well as "PAT." (patent) marked. Multi-piece construction. "Sarah Wiltse Krause" named and "Nr. 486" numbered to the reverse. Furthermore "M.D." marked.
Original ribbon with pinback hanger. Lettering "District of Columbia". Ribbon slightly tattered. Weight: 12.87 gr. Size: 35.07x29.11 mm.
Including the matching enamel 16 mm-miniature. The back comes also with the initials of Sarah Wiltse Krause "S.W.K." and "486" numbered. "M.D." marked. "B.B & B." maker marked (BAILEY BANKS & BIDDLE PHILA.).
A beautiful rare set. Nearly mint.
