VIEW DESCRIPTION

This bayonet is one of the last SG 84/98 which were produced at the end of WWII. The blade comes with the original bluing. No maker's mark or number. Nice wooden grip plates. Original bluing on the hilt fittings. No acceptance mark(s). The scabbard (magnetic) comes with the original finish. No dents.

This type is described in the book "Das Seitengewehr 84/98 bei der Reichswehr und Wehrmacht von 1920 bis 1945" by Sebastian Thiem on page 380.
