Period time Kriegsmarine officer's visor cap worn by a Leutnant, Oberleutnant and Kapitänleutnant.
Fine blue silk lining. Intact celluloid diamond. Typical grey sweat-band. Blue cloth finished visor with hand-embroidered ornaments.
A nicely matching pair of hand-embroidered insignia attached by hand. Correct black sweat-band. One naval sweat-band button attached with the original thread, the other buttons secured with a piece of wire ready to get re-attached by hand. Both buttons show the same patina and certainly belonged to the cap.
Dark black cap band with a separately attached black ribbed band around it.
Size 56. No moth damage. Slightly out of shape. A nice cap!
