A nicely worn Luftwaffe M40 single decal camo helmet with period time applied green camo paint. Two tons of green color were added as worn in Normandy in 1944.
"1940" dated and "Lüttringhaus & Co." maker marked chin strap from soft leather. Very worn but still soft size "56" marked leather liner.
The liner is original to the shell. The prongs of the shell rivets were never opened. Several markings to the inside of the lining including a unit marking.
Single eagle decal. Around 85% in place. Over 80% of original green camo paint to the shell. Original blue factory paint underneath.
