The dagger comes with an excellent blade showing the etched motto "Mehr sein als scheinen." Made by Karl Burgsmüller, Berlin. Maker marked.
A brown wooden handle with an inserted national eagle. No chipping. Aluminium fittings. "O" and "5" stamped to the lower crossguard. An olive-brown period time re-painted steel scabbard. Slight dents. Including a matching brown leather frog. Maker marked to the back.
The dagger was assembled after 1945 using original wartime parts.
