Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross to Oberstleutnant Friedrich Richter serving with Infanterie-Regiment 42 and as a commander with Grenadier-Regiment 1222. Awards: Honor Roll Clasp on 18. April 1942, German Cross in Gold on 24. May 1943, Knight's Cross on 17. August 1943, and Oak Leaves on 5. April 1945 (818th Award).
The Knight's Cross was made by Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid. A so-called "micro 800" type. Three-part construction. Iron core (magnetic). Full original black paint. A real silver frame. "800" silver hallmarked to the back. Lovely patina. With the original suspension loop. The cross has all characteristics of a Steinhauer & Lück piece.
