Porcelain fox terrier by A. Nagy - 1926 Munich

Description

An excellent colored porcelain fox terrier by Anton Nagy. He was the brother of Franz Nagy (SS Porcelain Manufactory Allach). Very little is known about Anton Nagy today. It is also not known whether he was also active for Allach porcelain.

The base shows the name of the artist "A. NAGY" and the date "19 MÜNCHEN 26". Furthermore the blue maker's mark by Dressel, Kister & Co. Passau (Bavaria). Model number "1387 P" (marked to the bottom). Glazed. Tiny casting flaws in the base occurred during production.

Excellent condition! No chipping or damage and no repairs.

Length: 15.5 cm.

Heigh: 16.5 cm.

Franz Nagy was the founder and owner of the Allach porcelain. In 1939 the company was taken over by the SS. It is also interesting that Franz Nagy also worked for porcelain manufactory Dressel, Kister & Co. in Passau from 1904 to 1906.
