Made from nickeled iron sheet with brass fittings, rivets and chain.
Front part:
"GdC" stamped (Garde du Corps) to the right upper corner of the front. "II" (2nd set) as well as "18" (depot number = Waffennummer) unit marked. Stamped with "W" and crown as well as "II" (2nd set) and "18" (depot number = Waffennummer) stamped to the brass section right below it. "Wilh. Jaeger" maker marked to the left top corner as well as marked with "W" and crown again.
Linen attached to the original hooks. Front emblem (pattern 1912) with initials "FR" showing two resoldered screws to the bottom which is attached with modern nuts. Four holes to the front side of the cuirass. "3 E" unit marked to the lining. Emblem was attached on this model cuirass 71 after 1912.
Rear part:
"43" marked to the left upper corner as well as "Wilh. Jaeger" maker marked to the other side. "GdC" stamped (Garde du Corps) next to the maker's mark. "W71" depot dated as well as crown stamped to the same area.
"GdC" stamped to the lining.
Signs of use and age. Good condition.
Please note that front and rear plate do not seem to match size!
