Description

A rare document grouping to Unteroffizier Otto Grese serving with Grenadier-Regiment 487. Part of the 267. Infanterie-Division.

Killed in action on 02.11.1943 near Kritschew. Posthumously awarded the Knight's Cross on 24. November 1943 as Obergefreiter (private) and promoted to Unteroffizier on 8. December 1943. Very hard to find!

Certificate to Infantry Assault Badge in Silver. Issued on 4.9.1941. Signed by Oberst Hans Kurt Höcker (Knight's Cross winner). 

Certificate to East Medal. Very nice type. Issued on 20.8.1942. Signed by Oberstleutnant Wilhelm Bleckwenn (Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner). 

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued on 2.4.1943. Signed by Generalleunant Friedrich Stephan (German Cross in Gold winner). 

Certificate to Close Combat Clasp in Bronze. Field issued (small-size). Issued on 29.7.1943. Signed by Oberstleutnant Wilhelm Bleckwenn (Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner). 

Certificate to Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Posthumously awarded on 24.11.1943. Issued on 8.12.1943. Signed by Generalleutnant Wilhelm Burgdorf (Knight's Cross winner). The lower-left corner is missing.

A period time newspaper cutting relating to his death.
