Mecklbg.Feld.Art.Regt.60 etched sabre - Carl Kaiser/Eisenhauer
Description
A nice sabre to Wachtmeister Rathjens serving with Mecklenburgisches Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 60.
The sabre comes with an excellent clean and etched blade to three sides. It is decorated with fine ornaments and bears the name of the recipient as well as his unit. The lettering has a blackened background on each side. "C K" maker marked (Carl Kaiser, Solingen). Also, "Eisenhauer" marked.
Gilt hilt fittings. Made from brass. A real ray-skin finished grip. The wire wrapping and the leather finger loop are intact. An eagle head pommel with inserted red glass eyes. The emblem of artillery units is attached to the front langet. One bow of the handle has been officially (regularity) removed.
Nickel-plated steel scabbard with a brass fitting. No dents.
