Description

Kriegsmairne U-107 wall plaque. Hand-painted with enamel paints on a wooden board. No chipping. Size: 12.5x18 cm.

U-107 was the Frontboot of the 2. Unterseebootsflottille from 1. January 1941 to 18. August 1944. Sunk in the Bay of Biscay on 18. August 1944 (no survivors). The first commander was Korvettenkapitän Günter Hessler. He was the son-in-law of Großadmiral Karl Dönitz.

Kriegsmarine 2. Unterseebootsflottille wall plaque. Hand-painted with enamel paints on a wooden board. No chipping. Size: 12.5x18 cm.

Furthermore, a period time photo showing the conning tower of U-107. It shows the same emblems as on the boards. A very nice shot! Hand-signed by Großadmiral Karl Dönitz after the war. Postwar framed.

A beautiful "small" grouping!
