The front of the blade shows the etched motto "Meine Ehre heisst Treue". The dedication "In herzlicher Kameradschaft - Ernst Röhm" on the reverse has been removed. "Rich. Abr. Herder, Solingen" maker marked. Pitting on both sides.
Original black wooden handle with inserted SS roundel (chipping) and national eagle. A few areas of the handle were restored. Nickel fittings. "I" stamped on the lower crossguard. Black re-painted steel scabbard with nickel fittings. It has some small dents. All four screws in place.
