Description

VIEW DESCRIPTION

Extreme rarely DLV knife M1934 for balloon pilots ("Ballonführer"). 1st pattern.

"Carl Eickhorn Solingen" maker marked blade. Stained on both sides. Blue leather finished grip without wire wrapping (which is so correct). The pommel and crossguard are made from nickel silver (Neusilber). Each side shows a sun wheel swastika.

Blue leather finished wooden scabbard with nickel-silver fittings. The fittings are fixed with three screws. One dent to the lower fitting. Including the matching dagger chain. Fully working snap clip.

Length: 53.5 cm.

Overall matching patina. Signs of wear.
