Description

Heer four pocket service tunic, a so-called ornamented field tunic (Geschmückte Feldbluse). It is designed with four pockets and cuffs like a normal officer's field tunic but comes with piping around the collar, the cuffs and along the vertical button line. This type of tunic is considered to be rather rare.

Branch: Kavallerie (cavalry)

Shoulder boards: "Goldgelb" color piping. Rittmeister rank. Sewn-in type. No damage.
Collar tabs: "Goldgelb" color. Officer's type. Period time attached by machine.
Collar: Dark green. Minor mothing to the collor and the piping.

Breast eagle: Hand-embroidered officer's type. Attached by hand.

Buttons: Complete and period time attached. One rip.
Lining: Silk. Period time attached tailor's tag. Partially damaged. 

Award loops: To both pockets in place. Damaged.

Clearly worn tunic. Moth damage. Signs of wear and age.
According to our consignor, this tunic belonged Stalingrad veteran Hans-Georg von Tiedemann serving with Panzergrenadier-Regiment 21.
