VIEW DESCRIPTION

Heer Soldbuch to Feldwebel Perkel serving with the Free Arabian Legion (Sonderverband 287). The Sonderverband 287 was a fully motorized unit of the Wehrmacht, set up for use in Arab countries. Formed from Arab volunteers as well as German soldiers.

Issued on 1. August 1939. Orignal attached photo in tropical tunic. His units are listed on pages 3 and 4. Involved in the campaign in Africa on 15.3.1943. Noted on page 15. Awards: Infantry Assault Badge and Wound Badge in Black. Noted on page 22. One page is loose. Used condition.
