Description

VIEW DESCRIPTION

Luftwaffe sword by E. & F. Hörster, Solingen. Nickel-silver "Neusilber" type.

The blade is in nice condition. It has minor stains. "Hörster Solingen" maker marked as well as the Luftwaffe acceptance mark. Also "F.H.K. Qu. 3" engraved (possibly for Fliegerhorst Quakenbrück).

Original blue leather finished handle and scabbard. Intact wire wrapping. Typical sun wheel swastikas on pommel and crossguard. The background has been polished or the silver plating is worn. One dent on the pommel.

The scabbard has two small dents and light signs of use. All screws in position. Original blue leather hanger. "Paul Klopfer Berlin" maker marked and dated "1939". Also "LBA" stamped. "olc" maker marked snap clip. Fully working.
