The figure shows "Heinrich der Löwe". Made from ceramics, the so-called "Böttgersteinzeug". It was manufactured by Meissen. The figure was a gift from Kavallerie-Regiment 17 officer's corps to the newly established Panzerregiment 35 (both regiments based in Bamberg), dated "1. November 1938" (it was the date of the foundation of the PzR 35). The rider "sits" upon a pedestal which is decorated with a lion emblem. The artist's name "Richard Schulze" and the production year "1937" as well as the Meissen maker's mark is graved into the base of the statue. Several restored areas (sword, ears, reins, neck, stirrups).

The ceramic figure sits upon an oval, black-painted, wooden base. Front side with an engraved silver plate (21 x 27,5 cm) showing the engraved dedication. The round silver plate with the monogram of the donor "PzR 35" is mounted on the reverse side.
