Description

Heer M41 field tunic. Typically designed with vertical pocket bars. Unlike an M36 orM40 pattern, the M41 pattern comes with six instead of five buttons.

Breast eagle: officers pattern. Hand-attached
Collar tabs: infantry officers pattern. Attached by hand.
Shoulder boards: White color infantry shoulder boards for a Hauptmann. Sewn in.

Buttons: All buttons complete and period time attached.
Lining: cotton
Markings: size stamped

This tunic was period time modified by a tailor due to the personal taste of the officer. Soldiers preferred the more elegant M36 style featuring a dark green collar, dark green insignia and a vertical pocket bar. All modifications were executed period time and definitely prior to 1945.
Modifications like these are quite common and give this tunic a unique touch.
This had a dark green M36 collar attached and cuffs added to the sleeves.

Overall good condition with only a few moth holes. All insignia are postwar re-attached.
