Heer M42 field cap (side cap) constructed with two buttons to the front. It was period time converted to a M43 field cap by adding a front visor. The visor is quite short and reminds more on an mountain cap.
Lining: Silk. Markings washed out
Grommets: period time removed. Holes were close.
Buttons: Iron. Both original attaced.
Insignia: Machine-woven triangle cap badge postwar attached by hand.
A well worn cap without moth damage but clear signs of age and wear.
