Description

Golden pocket watch of Manfred von Richthofen, known as the Red Baron. The watch was given by his father Major Albrecht Philipp Karl Julius Freiherr von Richthofen. 

Excellent and high-quality pocket watch. Made from 14-carat gold. "14 K" hallmarked as well as other markings inside. "67168" numbered. The watch was a gift from his father on 12. November 1912. Evidenced by the engraving inside "Dem Leutnant v. Richthofen zum 19. Nov. 1912 v. seinem Vater". The front of the watch bears the von Richthofen family crest. White watch dial with black Roman numerals. All three hands are present. Also a 60-second subdial. The original glass and winding crown are present. Fully functional and without any damage.

Weight of the watch: 100.3 gr.

The watch runs very well! Condition 1.

With the original case of issue. "W. Lennartz-Michels Hof-Uhrmacher, Sz. Majestät des Kaisers & Königs, Aachen" marked to the lining. W. Lennartz-Michels was a watchmaker from Aachen and purveyor to the court. The case opens and closes correctly.  Signs of use. Condition 2-.

A unique set of the highest quality.

With a photo of Major von Richthofen (taken from a book), an "old" cardboard box where the watch was kept, and a picture of the von Richthofen family coat of arms.
