Certificate grouping to Obergefreiter Matthias Wagner serving with 13./Grenadier-Regiment 488.
Both documents are in very good condition.
Certificate to the Iron Cross 2nd Class and the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with swords.
Both documents come with an original ink signature of Generalleutnant Heinz Greiner which is very hard to find.
Greiner was awarded the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and commanded 268. Infanterie-Division in 1943, the year both certificates were issued.
Please see this auction for other personal belongings of Heinrich Greiner. Greiner was awarded the Oak leaves as commander of 362. Infanterie-Division which was involved in the campaign against the US invasion in Italy in January 1944.
