June 1942 issued (2nd issue = Zweitschrift) Wehrpaß to Unteroffizier Walter Baden serving with Infanterie-Regiment 15 since 1938. He was part of the Poland campaign.
He was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Clas and the War Merit Cross 2nd Class in 1941 and page 23 confirms.
Baden was killed in action on 5.8.1942 8km Southwest the railway station as it says. He was burried 7km Southwest of Abganerowo. The note was written and signed by his Kompanie chief.
Infanterie-Regiment 15 was destroyed in Stalingrad in February 1943.
The pins of the Wehrpaß show rust which is why the booklet has separated from the cover and quite a few pages are loose.
