VIEW DESCRIPTION

Oberfeldwebel Hermann Schrecke was a member of the 1.(H)/Reconnaissance Squadron 12 and was awarded the Honor Goblet on September 06, 1942. He later received the German Cross in Gold on December 2, 1942.

The Honor Goblet of the Luftwaffe was instituted in February 27, 1940 by Hermann Göring and was awarded to pilots and other flying personnel about 58,000 times on paper. Only between 13,000 and 15,000 were actually given out.

Here the silver plated alpaka verison with its proper markings “ FEINSILBER ALPAKA AUFLAGE - JOH.WAGNER & SON” and the engraved name and date of the award.
