Constructed of field grey cloth with a black cap band. White piping. Comes with the original black leather chin strap. Gray silk lining with "large" SS runes in the center. Size stamped "57". Remnants of the original celluloid diamond are present. Soft brown leather sweatband without rips. Grey felt backing on the front side. Marked with the "SS" runes as well as "RZM" marked on the inside of the visor. Unfortunately, the eagle and the skull are missing.
Slight signs of wear and only two small moth holes.
The visor cap comes from a household cleaner and was found in a small village near Munich.
A 100% wartime piece!
Together with the visor cap, the enclosed SS group photo was found. It shows members of the SS-VT Standarte "Deutschland". Probably one of the SS members was the owner of this visor cap.
