Rare grouping to KuK Feldpilot Julius Arigi. Hauptmann Arigi is the second most successful fighter pilot of the Austro-Hungarian Aviation Troops with a total of 32 credited victories. He had flown 165 combat sorties. Four times awarded the Austro-Hungarian Medal for Bravery in Gold.
After the Anschluss of Austria, he was transferred to the Luftwaffe and served as a flight instructor with Jagdfliegerschule 5 in Wien-Schwechat. His most famous flight students were Walter Nowotny and Hans-Joachim Marseille. During WWII, he served at several air bases (Fliegerhorst) in Hungary, the Balkans, and North Africa.
