Description

Document grouping to Maschinen-Stabsgefreiten Alois Betzinger serving with Kriegsmarinewerft La Pallice (submarine base). Also called "U-Boot-Bunker La Rochelle". During WWI he served aboard the S.M. Torpedoboot "B 98".

Certificate to Bavarian Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with Swords. Issued by S.M. Torpedoboot "B 98" on 25.2.1918. Hand-signed by an Oberleutnant. 

Certificates to Kyffhäuserbund Veteran's Medal 1914-1918 and Honor Cross of WWI.

18 period time photos of his service with the Imperial German Navy and Kriegsmarine. Mainly portrait photos.

Third Reich death card. Betzinger died during gastric surgery on 28.12.1944 at the La Rochelle hospital. He was also awarded the 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class and Minesweeper War Badge. 

Including some period time documents and a postwar document showing the location of his grave in France. 

Signs of use. Good condition.
