Rare Memel Medal with the original ribbon. Tombak. Very nice condition.
This type is described in the reference book "Die Medaille zur Erinnerung an die Heimkehr des Memellandes" by A. Scapini on page 94. One of the most discussed Memel Medals. It cannot be excluded that this medal was made for veterans from 1945 to 1957, according to the author. However, this is only a guess. The fake of this type is also described in the book on pages 132 and 133. Our medal has significant differences from the presented fake.
