Description

Early 1937 dated visor cap which was converted into a crusher cap by adding machine-woven officer's insignia, removing the inner cap band and added a soft leather visor. 

Piping: "White" color for infantry troops
Insignia: Machine-woven officer's cap eagle and wreath badge. Attached by hand. 

Sweat-band: Worn. One rip. 
Lining: Early orange color linen lining. Removed celluloid
Visor: Soft leather. Very thin. 

Markings: 1937 dated, maker marked. 13./I.R.71 (mot.) unit marked. 

Well worn. Moth damage.
