He served with Jäger-Regiment 227 in Stalingrad, Croatia, and Albania. His units are listed on page 12. Awards: Wound Badge in Black on 7.9.1942. (wounded at Stalingrad). Campaign list from 28.6.1942 until 13.10.1944. Obergefreiter Schürz was also involved in anti-partisan combat in Croatia and Albania. "Bekämpfung der Bandenbewegung im Südostraum - Kroatien" and "Bekämpfung der Bandenbewegung im Südostraum - Albanien". His service in Stalingrad "Angriffsschlacht auf Stalingrad" is also listed. Schürz was killed in action on 13.10.1944.
