The sabre comes with an etched blade on three sides. A so-called "Steckrückenklinge mit Schör" blade. It shows gilded naval motifs and ornamnets on a blued background. Also the inscription "Grundlos zücke niemals dieses Schwertes Schneide. Ehrlos kehr es nie in seine Scheide.". Made by WKC.
A white handle with wire wrapping. It has two chips and some stress cracks. The wrapping is slightly loose. Brass hilt fittings with a lion's head pommel. Two folding crossguards. These show the emblem of the Kaiserliche Marine and the engraved name "Prochnow" of the recipient. Furthermore an acceptance mark.
Black leather scabbard with brass fitting. It has some dents.
