VIEW DESCRIPTION

Heer visor cap for cavalry officers with a so-called "Schwedter" attached. Only certain units, such as ones of Kavallerie-Regiment 6, were allowed to wear this traditional badge.

Branch: Kavallerie. "Goldgelb" color piping
Insignia: Hand-embroidered officer's pattern wreath badge. Attached by hand. Tombak eagle. Brass "Schwedter" eagle. You can see the pin holes of a formerly attached eagle. I was attached further up when the "Schwedter" eagle came on.
Chin strap: textbook officer's strap. Correct buttons period time attached.

Lining: Fine gold color silk lining. Rips.
Celluloid diamond: damaged

Sweat-band: Clear signs of wear. About half of the seam has opened.

Some moth damage.
