A very special and nice German M35 helmet. Issued in 1943, this must be one of only a few remaining M35 shells which were issued during the war with a 1940s factory paint and single eagle decal. In fact, it is July 1943 dated.
Paint: Original factory paint. Nearly 100% in place. Very smooth.
Decals: The eagle decal is 100%. Very "flat" structure.
Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still very soft. Original cord. "7-43" dated and marked with the "RB Nr. 0/1305/0327". In addition, maker marked "Köster A.-G.,Leder..... Neumünster-Gadeland". Size "59" marked to the inside and outside.
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell.
Chin strap: Soft leather. "RB Nr. 0/?85/0017" numbered.
