Saxony cavalry sabre M 1892 - Eickhorn (Eisenhauer)


Description

Nickel-plated steel blade, a so-called "Steckrückenklinge mit Schör". Excellent etching in the upper area of the blade shows the coat of arms of the Kindom of Saxony and on the other side the monogram of King Frederick August III. Gold-plated background and marked with "Eisenhauer" (quality hallmark). On the back of the blade is the distributor's mark of Gustav Emil Döring, Leipzig. Also, the maker's mark of Carl Eickhorn, Solingen.

Black bakelite grip with nickel-silver ("Neusilber") handle fittings. The folding guard bears the Saxon coat of arms. bronzed steel scabbard. It has no dents.
