Three photo albums of a Stabsarzt serving with Kriegs-Lazarettabteilung 551 (mot.) undFeldlazarett 123 (mot). Part of the 123. Infanterie-Division. The division was involved in the Demyansk Pocket. An album contains some photos and handwritten notes about his deployment in Demyansk.
The albums document his complete military service from 1934 until 1945, beginning with the Reich Labour Service and military education. In the further course numerous photos of his war service in Russia (Porchow, Dno, Staraja-Russa, Demyansk). The last photos were taken in Germany on the so-called "Heimatfront". Among them are six excellent photos of Knight's Cross winner Oberleutnant Willi Lumpp. He was a close friend of his. Oberleutnant Lumpp was also awarded the Tank Destruction Badge "Panzerknacker" in Silver. He wears it on his white summer tunic. The pages of the albums also contain numerous handwritten notes by the Stabsarzt (similar to a war diary).
