A hand-woven tapestry in the so-called "Beiderwand" technique, which is typical for the region of Schleswig-Holstein. It shows the tree of life ("Lebensbaum"). The bottom is decorated with wool fringe. Made by Deutsches Heimatwerk or Meldorfer Kunstweberei.
The tapestry mostly decorated the wall of the so-called "Julecke" (Yule Corner). Nicely described in the period time book "Die Gestaltung der Feste im Jahres- und Lebenslauf in der SS-Familie". Published by SS-Oberabschnitt West.
