VIEW DESCRIPTION

Family purchased mountain cap which belonged to a member of III.Geb.Jäg.Rgt.98. The name of the owner, Franz Schall, is mentioned on the period time documents part of this grouping. Including a nice internal unit newspaper issued at Christmas 1940.

Untouched size 55 mountain cap manufactures by „Mützenfabrik Breiter München“ in 1942.

A textbook example with cotton lining and a soft sweat-band. Cloth finished visor.

Four grommets. An Edelweiss badge is period time attached to the side of the cap.
Both bottons in place. Period time attached „t-eagle“ badge. Machine-woven. Attached by hand.

Very little moth damage.
