An untouched German M40 helmet. The type of helmet was issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polilzei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Luftwaffe.
Paint: Original factory paint. Around 90% still present. Some rust and signs of wear and age.
Decals: The eagle decal comes in good condition with some parts "worn off".
Lining: Leather lining. Still flexible and soft. The cord is an old replacement. 58 size stamped.
The prongs were never opened. The lining is original to the shell.
