Description

VIEW DESCRIPTION

An early SS Service Dagger. It was originally a so-called "Röhm" dagger.

Nickel-plated steel blade with the etched motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue". The "Röhm" dedication on the back has been "correctly" removed. After the "Röhm Putsch" in 1934, the dedication had to be removed from all daggers. "Böker Solingen" maker marked. Light stains on both sides.

Black wooden handle with inserted SS roundel and eagle. It has a few fine stress cracks. Early nickel crossguards. Numbered "8424" (low number) on the bottom of the lower crossguard. Also stamped "I". Includes the officer's portepee. Original anodized steel scabbard with nickel fittings. All four screws are in place.

Signs of use. A very rare dagger!
