Description

VIEW DESCRIPTION

An untouched SS NCO's sword "Degen".

Nickel-plated steel blade. No maker's mark. Some stains on both sides. Black wooden handle without chipping. Nickel-plated iron fittings. The pommel bears the SS runes. Original attached SS leader's portepee. It was also worn by officer candidates, the so-called "SS-Führeranwärter".

Original black finished steel scabbard (around 80% present). Rust stains but no dents. Stamped with the SS runes on the throat.

Signs of use. Overall condition 2-.
