This was originally a Polish WZ.31 Helmet that was reissued to the Luftschutz during the war. The majority of these helmets were produced during 1936-39 with a cork-infused paint to create a cammoflage similar to the sand paint used on German helmets. This one appears to have been in the minority with smooth paint applied that was later overpainted with the Luftschutz blue paint with is aboput 80% preserved. The front decal is 80% complete and the three pad liner is complete with some samage to the grommets and cord. Also present is the chin strap which is complete and serviceable.
