Description

Important tropical tunic to a Generalmajor of the Gebirgsjäger from 1941.

Standard depot stamped Afrikakorps 4-pocket field tunic with original attached insignia.

Hand-embroidered General's breast eagle on green cloth backing attached by hand. Textbook General's collar tabs. Machine-attached with nice patina absolutely matching to this tunic. Sew-in shoulder boards for a Generalmajor in matching condition. No damage.

All buttons complete and original attached.

Original attached Gebirgsjäger Edelweiss sleeve badge. Very fine tailor made officer's bullion version.

A small part of cloth is attached to hold a German Cross in gold to the right breast pocket.

On the left breast pockets multiple loops for awards.

Sewn on the button hole is a repetition clasp 1939 to the Eiserne Kreuz II. Klasse 1914.

Above the pocket loops for a ribbon bar.

Size and depot stamped from 1941. Also maker markings, but hardly readable.

The tunic is uncleaned, but in very good condition, no sunbleach visible. Unfortunately the name of the General is not known, but it may be researchable.

With the tunic comes an officers belt. It has been reworked by removing the rivets and resew the clasp.
