Description

A truly extraordinary opportunity to acquire a first pattern “Blutorden” (Blood Order) grouping, directly consigned by the family of the original recipient. This historic “Decoration in Memory of 9 November 1923” was entrusted to us by the great-grandson of Ludwig Gräf, a veteran who, alongside his brother, served in the SA Niederbayern, 7. Hundertschaft, and took part in the infamous Hitler Putsch of 9th November 1923.

His brother, Hans Gräf, was awarded the Blood Order with the exceptionally early number “147”—a remarkable low serial for this highly sought-after decoration.

This 1st pattern medal has the lowest number ratisbon's has ever offered. Made by Josef Fuess based in "München". Originally attached ribbon with pin and button hole. "990" silver stamped. "JOS.FUESS MÜNCHEN" maker marked. Part of the grouping was his personal "Reichsparteitag 1929" badge (missing) pin as well as his personal WW1 period time medals and a photograph of Gräf as a WWI soldier. Apart from that, there are some family related medals coming with his grouping.
