Fine privately purchased Heer officer's field cap. Most probably to a Gebirgsjäger. Edelweiss either missing or never attached. The construction of the reminds of a "Bergmütze" featuring a rather short visor. Also, the tailor used a Gebirgsjäger "t-eagle" which he however attached like a trapezoid eagle. The eagle is definitely period time attached by machine!
