Pionier shoulder boards for a Leutnant serving with with the famous 44.Infanterie-Division which was destroyed in Stalingrad in January 1943. It was reconstituted in February 1943. This post-Stalingrad division was allowed to wear the so-called "Stalingrad cross" on their shoulder boards.
