Rare WW2 period time Polish M26 Infantry helmet. Helmets issued to Polish troops were French M26 Adrian helmet with an emblem showing the Polish eagle.
These helmets were issued to Polish forces in exile in France in 1940.
Rust pits underneath the paint which indicates the helmet was re-pained at a later date. However, this date could be after 1940 when the shell were stocked for more than a decade.
