Description
Untouched grouping to Oberleutnant Hermann Voege serving with Inf.Rgt.246. He was killed in action as a company leader during the assault of Horozanka. An exact explanation of his death was sent in a letter to his brother in law and is part of this grouping.

A very nice early tombak Heer officer's dagger with a great "H.Voege" engraved cross guard! Matching patina to all metal parts. Orange handle. No dents to the scabbard. Clean blade with a PAUL WEYERSBERG maker mark. Officer's knot attached. Matching hangers in nice condition.

Award and promotion documents:

- Certificate to the Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued to Leutnant Voege commanding 7.Inf.Rgt.246. Signed by the commander of 9.Panzer-Division Generalleutnant Alfred Ritter von Hubicki. Folded once.
A rare example with explanation to the reverse!
- Certificate to the Iron Cross 2nd Class. Signed by Gollwitzer, commander of 88.Inf.Div. 11.6.1940 issued at Passy-Grigny. Not folded.
- Certificate to the General Assault Badge. Signed by the regiment commander. Folded once.
- Certificates to the Wound Badge in black and silver.
- Large size certificate for the RAD 4 years Long Service Award. 25.7.1940 issued. Folded once.
- Large service RAD promotion document for a Feldmeister. Facsimile signature of Hierl. 1.12.1941 issued.  Folded twice.

A map of Austria. Named to Voege serving with 1./Grenadier Regiment 62.

Document sent to Leutnant Voege on 17.6.1941 telling Voege about the death of his comrade Leuntant Graf. The sender mentions that his unit had heavy casualties during the Crete Campaign! Another document sent with two photos of the grave of Lt. Graf.

An August 1944 dated three page letter sent from Leutnant Heissig to an Hauptmann (his brother in law) telling him about the death of Oberleutnant Voege. This letter is a great source of research  for this grouping.
