Unique custom made album with folder to Knight's Cross recipient Generalleutnant Johannes Hintz given by the city of Düsseldorf. It documents the "Symphoniekonzert" from 29.3.1944 which was played for Hintz shortly before leaving Düsseldorf after being promoted to the commander of 3. Flak-Korps as well as his funeral only three months later.
The album was probably given to his widow. The foreword mentions his death on 21.5.1944 after a car accident in Paris.
The first pages show the speeches of various important people before the concert was played. Followed by 28 original photos taken on this evening. Many show Hintz.
The second part documents the celebration commemorative Hintz's death. The celebration was held in Düsseldorf on 7.6.1944. Again, the speeches are printed followed by 9 original photos. Rare late war photos.
